The Easter Bunny worked overtime scattering hundreds of Easter Eggs in the field east of the Social Hall. The children all waited patiently and wide eyed for Deputy Chief Phil Haupt to blow the air horn of Engine 55; the signal to start the hunt. With the blast of the horn the children swarmed into the field, Easter baskets in tow, to collect as many eggs as their baskets would hold.
Once the eggs were harvested, the children cracked them open for the candy, and perhaps a very special prize inside: A ride through Greenfields in Engine 55.
After a visit with the Easter Bunny, who was waiting inside the Club, the children were taken home by their parents to enjoy their candy, along with the prospects of a possible belly ache and future dental work.
