On Friday, May 25, 2018, at 07:05, Station 55, along with Weat Reading Rescue 64, was dispatched to the report of an MVA with injuries on Rt. 183 at Teleflex.
Upon arrival the Engine 55 crew found that a Ford F-450 dump truck, hauling a trailer with a front end loader had struck a Honda pick-up truck. Both vehicles were in the middle of the roadway blocking traffic.

Fire crews removed the crash debris from the roadway while Bern Township Fire Police directed traffic around the scene. Traffic control continued until both vehicles could be removed. The scene was cleared sometime after 08:00 and responding crews returned to their respective stations.
According to Bern Township Police, the southbound Ford dump truck had run the red light at the intersection of the Teleflex driveway and Rt. 183, and had T-Boned the Honda pick-up truck, which was exiting the driveway.
