Greenfields Co. 55 was dispatched to a single vehicle MVA on southbound Rt. 222 about a half mile north of the exit for Rt. 183.
Upon arrival, the GFC crew found that an Acura sedan had spun out and came to rest on the west side guide rail, rupturing the vehicle’s fuel tank. No other vehicles were involved in the accident, and no occupants in the Acura were injured.
GFC crewmembers treated the leaking fuel with “Oil Dri” while fire police directed traffic around the scene. The GFC remained on scene until the vehicle was removed by V&M Towing.
The cause of the accident is under investigation by the Muhlenberg Township Police.
