On July 21 @ 15:00 GFC E55, E551, and C55, along with Mt. Pleasant Rescue 30, Bernville Rescue 29, and Temple 11 were dispatched to an MVA with entrapment on County Road.
Upon arrival crews found that a Nissan Altima was on its side in the trees on the south side of the roadway. The driver had self-extricated.
Seeing that there was no need for extra rescue units, Chief Fisher recalled all units except Mt. Pleasant Rescue 30.
The GFC crew directed traffic around the scene and cleaned up debris from the roadway. The vehicle was later removed by V&M Towing.
The driver was transported to a local area hospital by Western Berks Ambulance, with unspecified, but non-life threatening injuries.
The cause of the accident is unknown at this time and is being investigated by the Bern Township Police.
