On Monday October 8th @ 18:00, the firefighters of the Greenfields Fire Co. opened the Station’s engine bay doors, and invited the public inside for their 8th Annual Open House.
Once inside our Station, visitors were able to inspect our facility and our apparatus. They were also able to visit with, and ask questions of our volunteer fire fighters. Fire prevention literature was available for the adults, and fire prevention games, crafts, and handouts were available to the children. Along with this, refreshments were served free of charge.
The star attraction of the evening, however, was our newest piece of apparatus – our new 2015 KME Predator Pumper/Engine. Prominently on display in front of our Station, basking in the light of its own 24 foot light tower, it proudly sat waiting for our guests to inspect its technological marvels.
The Firefighters and members of the Greenfields Fire Company would like to thank everyone who took the time to stop by our station. We hope everyone who visited our Station left with the comforting knowledge that our community is served by a top notch and well equipped group of first responders.
Special thanks to Support Unit Capt. Sarah Green, and her minions who made this event possible.
