For the fifth year in a row, Santa had requested the services of the Greenfields Fire Company to chauffer him around Bern Township for his annual naughty and nice survey.
Chief Brian Fisher was up for the task and assigned the GFC crew to transform E55 into a “Lights and Sirens” sleigh. With copious quantities of garland, wreaths, and duct tape, E55 was made ready for Santa’s Run.
The Elves from the GFC met Santa Saturday morning at the Greenfields Social Hall. From there Santa, on his white sleigh, and a convoy of GFC apparatus proceeded to travel the neighborhoods of Bern Township. Traversing over 58 miles of Township roads, Santa greeted its residents with his jolly ho ho hos.
Below are some of the happy faces who got to see Santa during his journey around Bern Township:

Whenever we are on a call that takes us past Tristan’s house, he is always waiting in his driveway to give us a wave as we go by.
For our final stop, Santa requested that we visit Epler’s Church Cemetery so that he could pay his respects to our recently passed Treasurer/Deputy Chief/Chief Engineer, Phil Haupt. Rest in peace, Phil…
