Late Sunday afternoon, on November 27 at 17:51, the GFC received a HAZMAT dispatch for fluids down after an MVA on Bernville Rd. and Curtis Avenue in Greenfields. E55 responded with a crew of 3,
The E55 crew arrived at 17:58 and found a Grey Hyundai, with rear passenger side damage, and a Blue Hyundai, with front driver’s side damage. There were fluids down at the intersection of Rt. 183 and Egle Rd. where the eastbound blue Hyundai had T-Boned the southbound Grey Hyundai.
The Grey Hyundai was parked on the shoulder, perpendicular to southbound Rt. 183, with its back end partially blocking the roadway, thus creating a hazard to traffic. The blue Hyundai was parked on the northbound shoulder, out of the way of traffic.
The E55 Crew immediately began assisting Bern Township Police with traffic control, cleaning up the spilled fluids, and removing debris from the roadway. Once the scene was clean, and the vehicles were safely off the roadway, Bern Township Police released the E55 crew. E55 was back at the station by 18:30.
