At 08:39 on Monday, March 28, a dispatch was issued to Greenfields E55, along with West Reading R64, and Western Berks Ambulance, to respond to a 2 Vehicle MVA located at the intersection of Rt. 183 North and the on-ramp to Rt. 222 north.

The E55 crew stabilized the SUV, and tended its occupants until EMS arrived. Both occupants suffered unspecified injuries and were transported to a local area hospital for treatment. There were two occupants in the utility van, but neither were uninjured.
Bern Township Fire Police directed traffic around the scene while the E55 crew cleaned up the debris and the vehicles were removed.
The SUV was removed from the scene by V&M towing while the utility van was able to leave the scene under its own power. Normal traffic flow was resumed around 09:25.
